Tracklist/Description: Globally recognised as a major proponent within drum & bass, Bryan Gee’s long since made his mark on music. Frankly his name will forever be aligned with the d&b genre considering that he founded a seminal label, in V Recordings, and ran a seminal dance with his scene sculpting Movement party. As a label head, Gee’s helped bring through a slew of producers whose names are now also just as ingrained into the DNA of drum & bass - people like Roni Size, Krust and Die from Bristol and DJ Marky and XRS from Brazil – but, somewhat importantly, he’s also never let up. Running multiple labels at the same time (V, Liquid V, Philly Blunt and Chronic) whilst pulling numerous strings behind the scenes as a radio broadcaster, promoter, A&R and more, what’s always been obvious is his enthusiasm and deep seated love of the form. Performing in Room Two alongside another musical legend, LTJ Bukem and a smothering of other talents on Friday 30th January, he’s kindly prefixed the event by making us a 45 minute mixtape that aims to reacquaint you with his style, warm you up for a week on Friday and learn you a little something in the process.
